From the 1970s’ mixtape covers to the 1980s’ and beyond CD covers, there are very few things more satisfying to see than an eye-catching, relatable, and well-designed cover. The cover is the first thing you’ll see when you’re given an album or playlist, and therefore you must be able to tell the story of your music taste with one image.

As a low-stakes way to refresh my design skills and practice with new tools, I started to design and personalize my playlist covers. As my music taste has grown, so too have my playlist covers through the ages.

Playlists is a personal passion project that I plan on continuing throughout my life, until the time when music-streaming platforms become extinct.
